Founder
and CEO:
ArTrio was initiated by Julie Jung-Sil Lee, Ph.D. She overviews three departments of ArTrio
as a Art Director. She received her
doctoral degree in Art History at the University of Maryland,
College Park, MD, with the dissertation titled “The Intersection of Nationalism and Religion: The Burghers of Calais
of Auguste Rodin in the French Third Republic.” She has a Master's degrees in Art History and French Literature from Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, Korea and a B.A. in French literature from Ewha University. She studied D.E.A. in
French Art History at the Université de Nice. She is a recipient of the Cantor
Rodin Foundation and was awarded the UMMF scholarship, and author of various books and
articles.
Currently, Jung-Sil is an adjunct Professor at the Corcoran College of
Art & Design since 2006 and Towson University. She has taught various art history courses at the University of Maryland and
Washington Baptist University and has also worked as an art critic and columnist for the Korean Times in Washington D.C. Her career entails extensive experience working as a curator, dealer, museum fellow, researcher, journalist, and correspondent to a cultural event organizer. Now, she holds several positions including; Vice President of The Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issues (WCCW), Art Committee Chair at Christian Television System (CTS), Art Committee of Korean
Woman International Network (KOWIN), and Advisor of Hanmee Art Association as well as the Korean Cultural Center (Korus), D.C.
